A consortium built by practitioners, for practitioners
NJ STRIVE brings school district leaders together around a shared commitment to a more representative educator workforce.
From a regional effort to a statewide working network
The consortium began as CJPRIDE, a group of Central Jersey school districts pooling relationships, ideas, and effort to reach educator candidates who were not well represented in their applicant pools.
As more districts joined, the work expanded beyond a single annual fair. Members began organizing professional development, scholarships, committee work, policy discussion, and year-round peer support. NJ STRIVE reflects that broader statewide purpose while preserving the practical, colleague-to-colleague culture that made the original effort useful.
The organization remains member-built. School human resources leaders identify needs, chair committees, create programs, share materials, and decide together how consortium resources should be used.
Committees turn shared purpose into ongoing work.
